Routes

 

We have four routes that will appeal to all levels of cyclist, from beginner to advanced, and will allow for participation by families.

  • 25km route, geared to families and beginner riders.  This will be almost entirely on the picturesque Thames Valley Parkway (paved shared-use path beside the Thames River).  Start and finish are at Greenway Park (NOTE new location!!), in London but participants are encouraged to join the 'official' finish at Lerners LLP, 85 Dufferin Ave., London between noon and 4pm.

  • 50km, 100km and 160km routes.  These rides will head into Middlesex County, to the west of London.  Rides will start and finish at Lerners LLP, 85 Dufferin Ave., London and there will be rest stops stocked with food and drinks on the route.

All participants will receive a swag bag (including a premium 'Tech Tee' t-shirt and food/drink ticket) and entries into draws and giveaways.  Fundraising awards will be given out at various levels (see below).

Ride Details

25km route:

  • Route and scavenger hunt questions can be picked up on Saturday, May 26 (11am-2pm) at Lerners.

  • Start/finish at Greenway Park (NOTE new location!!) and covering the TVP from Byron to Western University.

  • This ride is aimed at more casual riders and families with younger children.

  • The scavenger hunt will be back again this year.

  • Participants are encouraged to visit Lerners on June 5 between noon and 4pm for the conclusion of the event.

50km, 100km and 160km routes:

  • Sunday, June 5, 2022, with the start/finish at Lerners LLP, 85 Dufferin Ave., London.

  • The 50km route will follow the west edge of the city while the 100km route will head towards Strathroy and the 160km route will head towards Parkhill.  The return route will be via the White Oaks Road and Ridout bike lanes.

  • Official start times are listed below, but riders can start anytime during the morning (7am-noon).

  • Plan to finish back at Lerners between 1pm and 4pm.

  • Routes will have rest stops stocked with food and drinks.

Info for all routes:

  • All routes are subject to change up to the last minute, due to factors such as road construction.

  • Brannigan's will have breakfast and coffee available for a  reasonable price, from 6:00am-noon.  Cash, credit and debit accepted.

  • Awards, draws, food (provided by Brannigan's) and beer (from Anderson's Craft Ales) are planned for the finish on June 5 between noon and 4pm.

  • All participants will receive their event entry, a 'Tech Tee' t-shirt, a ticket for food and drink, other event swag and a number plate that entitles you to use the rest stops.

  • Entry also allows participants to enter various draws and giveaways, as well as to receive awards for fundraising efforts.

Key dates and times:

  • Saturday, May 28:

    • 11:00 AM-2:00 PM - Ride kit & route map pickup.

  • Sunday, June 5:

    • 6:00 AM - Breakfast & coffee available for purchase from Brannigan's throughout the morning.

    • 6:00 AM-Noon - Last-minute ride kit & route map pickup.

    • 7:00 AM - Official start of the 160km ride.

    • 8:30 AM - Official start of the 100km ride.

    • 10:00 AM - Official start of the 50km ride.

    • Noon-4:00 PM - TVP, 50, 100, 160km rides finish throughout the afternoon.

    • Noon-4:00 PM - Food, beer, awards, draw prizes, etc.

Fundraising:

  • Participants are encouraged to fundraise for the St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation, with awards given to those who achieve various fundraising levels:

    • $100: FCCC buff

    • $500: FCCC cycling jersey

    • $1,000: FCCC VIP entry for our 2023 event

    • $2,000: FCCC cycling shorts & socks
